Lemonwood Grove School (Te Uru Tarata) in Christchurch used Kāhu® in beautiful Kowhai Glow and Ebony from COLORSTEEL®. Kahu® was used in conjunction with prefabricated, pre-lined timber framed wall and roof panels. This was a fairly new school design in New Zealand and allowed the project to be handed over 6 weeks ahead of schedule.
Kāhu® is designed for an elegant look with style and extra performance in mind. The symmetrical ribs create strong defined shadow lines giving a sharp finish.
Greater weather performance is achieved with the double capillary overlap as it provides an extra capillary barrier to the standard capillary groove, giving you extra peace of mind. Kāhu® only requires a one rib lap. This increases the cover sheet size and speeds up installation time, providing for a cost-effective roofing and cladding solution.
